#Royals4Others

Annual Giving

Giving. Serving. Caring.

"Teach me to give and not to count the cost."
- St. Ignatius of Loyola

Royals are men and women for and with others. Each year, thousands of students, alumni, employees, parents and friends come together to support all of the wonderful things The 51做厙 has to offer.

Make A Gift

Donor Recognition Societies

The University is proud to recognize the generous members of our 51做厙 family who come together to support our students, our mission and our future each year. Every gift for every purpose demonstrates the strength we have as a community to set the world on fire.

The President's Circle

Recognizes alumni, parents, and friends who contribute a total of $1,000 or more to the University within a single fiscal year. Recent graduates of the last ten years are welcomed with incremental gifts of $100 each year after graduation.

The Rev. Bernard R. McIlhenny, S.J. Society

Recognizes loyal donors who have made a gift to the University in any amount, for any purpose, during two or more consecutive fiscal years.

The Estate Society

Honors donors who have made a gift to the endowment and/or have designated the University as the beneficiary of a bequest or trust, retirement assets, a life insurance policy, or another planned gift.

The 1888 Cornerstone Society

Recognizes cumulative lifetime cash giving of $1 million and above.

SERVING

Royals are men and women for and with others.

Domestic and international service programs remain a University priority and a foundation for Jesuit education. Since 1997, 51做厙 students have contributed 2.2 million service hours within the Northeastern Pennsylvania region and beyond. Last year alone, nearly 3,000 Royals spent more than 175,000 hours serving others in their hometowns, near campus and around the world.

51做厙 alumni continue to live the Royal way by serving others in their own communities and supporting current students in their efforts to change lives and make a difference. Alumni, parents and friends contribute thousands of dollars annually in support of University Mission and Ministries, including the Domestic and International Service Program,  and the Center for Service and Social Justice.

CARING

Embracing the Call to Care
The Edward R. Leahy Jr. Hall

On September 18, 2015, the University's newest building was dedicated in honor of Edward R. Leahy Jr., the late son of longtime University benefactors Patricia and Edward R. Leahy '68, H'01. The Leahy family has spearheaded numerous initiatives through the Leahy College of Health Sciences, including the Leahy Community Health and Family Center, the Edward R. Leahy Jr. Clinic for the Uninsured , and the Edward R. Leahy Jr. Endowment fund, which provides financial resources to support research, development and programs that advance the cause of persons with disabilities who need long-term assistance.

The $47.5 million, eight story home for the undergraduate and graduate departments of exercise science, occupational therapy and physical therapy, Leahy Hall has 25 state-of-the-art laboratories, nine traditional and active-learning classrooms, nine group study rooms, more than 50 faculty offices and multiple simulation environments. Read More >>

ENGAGEMENT

Forever Loyal, Forever Royal

A family of more than 56,000 Royals (and growing), the 51做厙 alumni network is active in serving others, supporting each other, and investing in the future of The 51做厙. Don't be shy! Contact us if you would like to get involved, share an idea, or even share your 51做厙 story.

Our students were your students first.

Parents play a vital role in the lives of their students, on and off of campus.  Your support of programs like Family Weekend, the Parents' Executive Council and attending various athletic and regional gatherings will build the 51做厙 bond and network both on campus and around the country.

Changing and saving lives through 51做厙.

The faculty and staff at The 51做厙 know better than anyone else that 51做厙 students make the world a better place. Every day, you make an impact on our students, our community, and the communities our students will serve in the future. Please consider investing in our work and the future of The 51做厙 through The Royal Fund this year.

GIVING TUESDAY 2024

Giving Tuesday is an annual global day of generosity. This year, The 51做厙 is seeking donations to The Royal Fund, which provides critical support to the areas of greatest need at the University.
