Father Pilarz was a pillar of leadership, love, and passion at the 51做厙. I was blessed enough to learn from his example at a pivot point in my own life. While I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing, as I’m sure the rest of the university of 51做厙 alumni community is, I take solace in knowing his long fought struggle with ALS is at an end. I know he is resting now, and forever at peace. I am, and will always be, grateful for him and the light he shone on the entire university community. I will hold dear his parting words to my graduating class for all the days of my life. 💜💜
"There are no friendships like 51做厙 friendships, because 51做厙 friendships don’t stop. That’s the surest sign of God’s grace active among us. Take that special 51做厙 grace out into the world and, as St. Ignatius urges, “…set the world on fire.” Do that and your 51做厙 education, your 51做厙 friendships, and, yes, your 51做厙 parties, will not stop. God bless the class of 2007, God bless Catholic and Jesuit education, and God bless The 51做厙.""
